Experience in the Women & Child Development Department Chhattisgarh - Women and Child Nutrition for Sustainable Health Chhattisgarh MUKHYAMANTRI SUPOSHAN ABHIYAN.

Objective :-

It has been said that in Chhattisgarh alone 37.60% of children under 5 years of age are suffering from malnutrition and 41.50% of women are suffering from anemia and their number is increasing, due to which the government has launched Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan, this scheme is to make Chhattisgarh state malnutrition free, Malnutrition and anemia prevalent among children below the age of 06 years and anemia prevalent among women in the age group of 15 to 49 years is a challenge in the state of Chhattisgarh, which it has been decided to eradicate it from the root.

Mission :-

Survey and baseline assessment will generate a robust district-specific understanding of the state of nutrition of mothers and children and of the interventions of the state government intended to address under-nutrition.

This project will be carried out in Chhattisgarh, 100 children below the age of 06 years and women in the age group of 15 to 49 years will be recruited in each of the districts along with 20 AWC (Aanganwadi Kendra). In the first phase, 100 Samples per district and total of 1000 samples were collected within 10 districts in Chhattisgarh.

10 Districts in Chhattisgarh first phase _ Raipur, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Bastar, Kanker, Kondagaon, Narayanpur, Dhamtari, Balod, Gariyaband.

Duration – June 2022 to Sep 2022.

Deliverables under the project :-

  1. Assessment of growth and development of CG Mukhyamantri Suposhan Scheme.
  2. Examination of the important features, reality, growth possibilities, Government deliverables and performance of CG Mukhyamantri Suposhan Scheme.
  3. Sample questionnaires were designed with Women & Child Development Department Director's approval in order to cover different aspects of the scheme.
  4. Methodology and questionnaire were devised to assess the effectiveness of scheme.
  5. Quality check and data verification were provided.
  6. Cleaned data along with a detailed analytical report was submitted to the Women & Child Development Department- District Project Officer.
